Mystery Box Packaging Design

This packaging design project explored the creation of a custom blind box concept inspired by Hasbro’s Hasbro My Little Pony franchise, drawing from a personal connection to the series and its visual storytelling. The assignment allowed for full creative freedom, so I developed a crystal-themed collection that blends product design with narrative-driven aesthetics. The main product was created in Illustrator, while Photoshop was used for supporting visual assets. Inspired by the show’s crystal motifs, castles, and star symbolism, I designed the packaging to resemble a faceted crystal castle that reflects the fantasy world of the franchise. Each of the six main characters is featured on the packaging to emphasize collectability and brand connection, while the back clearly displays the full character lineup along with a rare mystery character to enhance the surprise element. The result is a cohesive blind box design that combines storytelling, character integration, and sculptural packaging form.
